today was the first day of (un)fashion in the spring 09 semester. after reviewing our syllabus we swapped old clothing as a sustainable alternative to buying the new, for material for projects in the future as well as new pieces in our closets. also each student shared 5 images that represented what inspires them. each student explained why, and how. the next step in class is to take the inspirational images we each personally picked and create a garment of any kind made of anything we feel is necessary
our next class we will meet on friday, and we will all continue progress on our first project.
